The rules, in plain language
Your location decides. Medical licensing follows the patient. Dr. Copur is licensed in New Jersey, so you must be physically located in New Jersey during your visit, whether at home, at work, or in another private place in the state.
A live video visit comes first. New Jersey requires a live encounter with a clinician before any prescription. Your intake form prepares the visit; treatment decisions are made with you, face to face on video.
The same standard of care. Telehealth is held to the same standard as an in-person visit. When your concern calls for an in-person evaluation, an ultrasound, a biopsy, or a procedure, you are told plainly and referred to a local office, with your records.
Identity and privacy. You verify your identity before your first visit, your health information is kept only in a HIPAA compliant patient portal, and visits are not recorded.

Questions
Online gynecology in New Jersey, answered
Is an online gynecologist visit legal in New Jersey?
Yes. New Jersey law allows physicians licensed in the state to diagnose, treat, and prescribe through live video telehealth, held to the same standard of care as an in-person visit. You must be physically located in New Jersey during the visit, and the relationship between you and your clinician must be established through a live video encounter rather than a questionnaire alone.
What can a gynecologist do over video?
Over video, your clinician can take a full history, review your symptoms and records, diagnose common conditions such as perimenopause, menopause, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), and genitourinary syndrome of menopause (vaginal dryness and related symptoms), prescribe hormone therapy and contraception, order labs and imaging near your home, and manage your treatment over time. A pelvic exam, a Pap test, an ultrasound, a biopsy, or a procedure requires an in-person evaluation; when one is needed, you are referred to a local office and your records follow you.
Do I need insurance?
No. SheWellRX is a self-pay practice and does not bill insurance: $249 for a thirty minute initial visit and $149 for a follow-up visit, paid once when you schedule. HSA and FSA cards are accepted, and a superbill, an itemized receipt for out-of-network benefits, is available on request.
How quickly can I be seen?
Online scheduling shows current openings, usually within the week, Monday through Friday during business hours, Eastern time. You choose the time, pay, and receive your video link and intake form by email.
Which parts of New Jersey do you serve?
All twenty one of them. Because visits are by video, patients from Bergen County to Cape May County schedule the same way. You need only be physically located in New Jersey at the time of your visit.
